BLFF was pleased to host the 2008 Regional Conference of Library Friends organizations.   Over 30 participants from Friends organizations in Coos, Curry, Douglas, and Lane counties attended.

LOCATION:  Bandon Public Library, Sprague Community Room

The conference was an opportunity for Friends members to exchange ideas and support each other.  Topics discussed included:

  1. Fund Raising
  2. Recruiting Active Members to Friends
  3. What Involves "Non-profit" Status
  4. The Role of the Library in the Community
  5. Friends Relationship with the Library, Library Boards and City
  6. The Changing Library and Future Impact

Refreshments and a light luncheon were served.
