Shawn Tempesta will be displaying her oil paintings in the Gallery of the Bandon Library February 1 through 29th, 2012. She show is titled: “ Oil Paintings by Shawn Tempesta.” Her works reflect images and memories of places she has lived and visited. She has always loved the ocean and is motivated to capture that which is illusive and transient. She says, “It’s truly an artists’ dream to live here [in the Northwest],” where there is an incredibly dramatic coastline, crazy wildflowers, and a “zillion” shades of green.

Ms. Tempesta has exhibited in a juried show at the Coos Bay Museum, and has been commissioned for oil and watercolor paintings.

Larry Lindner will be exhibiting in the Display Cases in the Library February 1 through 29, 2012. His show is titled: “Custom Wood Works,” and includes hand crafted furniture, keepsakes and collectables.

Larry lives in Bandon with his wife of more than 35 years, after retiring from several careers including 20+ years with the Los Angeles Police Department, many years as a custom home contractor in both California and Oregon, serving as a missionary in Alabama, and being in charge of maintenance and construction for Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Klamath Falls.
